How to deal during difficult times.

Image
Welcome beautiful people! Today's topic is something we all struggle with. Difficult times we may face in our lives.  It could be a difficult relationship, unexpected health issue, family issues, a tough work situation, financial issues or you could simply feel stuck in not feeling your best self. In life you are going to experience certain ups and downs. When it comes to the lows in your life, everyone does handle and cope with these difficult times differently. I know it can be hard to imagine a difficult moment in your life as a learning experience or a growth period for you but try and remember that life has seasons and it will pass and you won't feel this way forever. Seasons in life eventually change for brighter and happier days. Constantly remind yourself that things will get better. Be strong.  Find a good, positive support system. Whether it is a close friend, partner or family member, let them know what you are going through and let them know that you need some extr

Self compassion- The key to peace and joy in life

Image
Welcome sunshine! Today's topic is about SELF COMPASSION. This can be a very difficult topic because when you think about therapy, it basically is centered around discussion, dissection and hidden meanings. However humans cannot operate only on that level. Let us be real, because failures are unavoidable, struggles are many, miscommunication is a real thing and when we take the time to display compassion for ourselves and others, we develop the power to shift our perspectives on life, relationships and every aspect in our lives. It brings us true joy, peace and an immense amount of relief.  One of the main things to consider is would you consider self compassion to be this. Would we think it was horribly cruel of us to speak to someone else the way we speak to ourselves in our internal dialogue?  Take a moment to actually write down some ways you could speak to yourself more compassionately. For example- when I notice myself stuck in a negative thought pattern or self judgement, I

Owning every part of who you are.

Image
Welcome everyone! Today I would like to discuss the power of simply owning every part of who you are in life. One of the best things about living in this time is the ability to explore all the different parts of who we are and also having the opportunity to be as many things as we want to be.  We are no longer confined to being just one thing and we are no longer defined solely on the career path that we choose. I believe being a multi dimensional individual should be encouraged and celebrated.  We are finally beginning to feel free enough to nurture all of our creative passions, hobbies and interests in life. For example you would like to be a yogi/ writer and business woman then we should be able to be all of those things. If you want to be a stay at home mom/ skincare expert and youtuber then why not? Why limit yourself to exploring all of the things in your life that being you true joy and help you to grow as an individual? We tend to limit ourselves to only showing one side of wh

How Vitamin C can help to keep you young.

Image
Welcome sunshine! Today I would like to discuss the power of Vitamin C. Basically we all try our best to eat for optimal nutrition and we understand that our food is meant to contain important nutrients however without the control over modern farming techniques, pesticides and soil quality we cannot be to sure and that is the reality we face. The powerful benefits of Vitamin C helps to boost immunity, supports the synthesis of collagen, takes care of our nervous system, defends us against pollution, environmental damage and free radicals.  Vitamin C also helps with the growth, development and repair of all body tissues. It helps with the absorption of iron, healing wounds and the maintenance of cartilage, bones and teeth.  How it keeps you young? This protein is naturally present in your skin and basically helps your skin from sagging. Your body slows down the production of collagen as you age therefore Vitamin C applied to your skin can help to encourage collagen to grow and it also h

How to Be Yourself

Image
I read this book every morning that has some of the most powerful quotes that truly influence my view on life every day for the better and today I would like to share one of those quotes that inspired me. 'Go in search of your gift. The more you understand yourself, the more you will understand the world.'  I find that so beautiful because when we actually confront ourselves, accept every part of ourselves, we are living our truth.  One of the main contributors to depression is that we tend to suppress parts of ourselves, we sometimes don't like certain parts of who we are and because we suppress it, instead of understanding it and making a positive change, our emotions and thoughts consume our minds and we end up blowing up.  Let us be really honest with ourselves and understand that very few people are blessed with an amazing self image and we spend so much time wishing that we looked a certain way or we carried ourselves a certain way and we add these expectations on ou

How to laugh more

Image
Laughter is the best medicine and having your daily dose of a good laughter can seriously improve your overall health. Yep you read correctly... Laughter is the best medicine when coping with anxiety or depression. Humor is a great form of relaxation and stress relief. Laughter is a great way to learn to not take ourselves too seriously and to simply enjoy life.  When you surround yourself with positive, uplifting people and you laugh more, it has been proven to help you deal with feelings of loneliness, anger, depression, sadness and anxiety.  When you laugh it basically stimulates the heart and lungs and releases endorphins which helps you to feel more relaxed and physically and emotionally. Laughter also increases resilience and basically resilience is when you view failures as a natural progression towards success rather than viewing it as a negative outcome to a situation.  Basically when you have the ability to rather look at mistakes as an a learning curve without becoming angr

The Power of Positive Thinking

How to keep your brain happy? To be honest, there is no more doubt regarding the fact that increasing positive and gratitude filled feelings, thoughts and emotions in your mind will only positively improve the chemistry of every cell in the body. What truly works is when you change your perspective and basically the world around you becomes a different place and in the end, you respond to it differently and it will respond differently to you.  There are so many powerful simple strategies that you can use to change the 'inner voice' within you in a way to increase your energy, enthusiasm and at the same time increase your immunity and healing from within. You need to find what works best for you, whether that is positive thinking, prayer, therapy or self help courses, from visualization to meditation. Find what works best for you because everyone is so unique and different.  Have you ever had one of those days when you wake up and you feel really good about yourself, you feel a
